Well, we're back at Pridemoor Keep. King Knight is one of the '1,000' bounty bosses, making him a good place to start.

If you remember, we can go left at the start here for a small secret area (hey, most stages don't let us go left!). Do so to drop down for a gem (it may be better to ignore these gems for safety!) and slash upwards to the left. As you jump to the next area, slash the upper wall to uncover a bunch of gems and the 'Yachtclub Games' icon. Classic! There's also [Red Skull 1/10] here and a Chest. Head back to the first screen now.

Head forwards now and slash past the lamp. Get the deposit here but do not kill the next beetle. We want to launch him off the right side and use him to slash to the upper right for [Red Skull 2/10]. If you mess up you can scroll the screen to the left and come back, so be sure to get it now.
Use the lantern past him to destroy some sand and kill another beetle, then wall climb up the next walls and let the Lance Horse destroy himself underneath you. Watch the lava and kill the beetle below but be sure to break the left wall here for a chest with a ton of gems in it!
Head right ot the next screen now. Avoid the lava and note you need to use the wall under the lava to continue. Time it right and use the wall to reach the deposit. Kill or avoid the rat here and jump down, jumping over the lance horse and climbing the wall past it to climb up. Here you need to use the wall above you to get higher, but be sure to destroy the upper right wall for [Red Skull 3/10]. Very easy. You can kill the first rat and use the second to launch yourself, but it may be safer to just kill them normally and continue since there's lava here. Get past the sand and continue upwards.
This next screen has a new enemy and a secret! Well, a couple new enemies! The Dark Mage here has a shot that homes-in on you. You can slash through his shot, but avoid it here and destroy the sand and brick blocks. Kill the purple bug to the right and get the deposit over here, then go kill the Dark Mage. Destroy the wall underneath him for a secret room to the left! Here there are platforms constantly moving below us. Head up first for the gems and jump over the lance horse. Before jumping down to the platforms, note the middle column can be destroyed, so jump down and destroy it for another gem and a place to stand on. Grab [Red Skull 4/10] now and return to the previous room. Head up the ladder to continue.
We have to time a jump past the lava here to make it to the Checkpoint. Above the checkpoint is a wall you can destroy for some Dead Turkey which is nice. Grab it and head forward to a wide open room. Watch out for the hole here and face the Mace Knight past it (the Dread Talon is a good weapon here to just take him down). Kill him and continue upwards. Here we have the magic book, which as you recall you need to hit to make platforms appear. Do so and grab the gem to the upper right, then hit it again to continue past the spikes.
Hit it from the left now to use it so we can wall jump up to the ladder and continue up. Up here, hit the deposit for the gems and use the lantern to launch to the upper left for some more gems. Money! There's a book here as well. Kill the purple bugs first if you wish, then hit the book to see what it leads to. As you can see, we'll need to use the lantern to launch to the upper left after we hit the book. Do so and continue upwards. Even with bad timing, we can wait in front of the lava and jump to the platform beyond it. Now we need to kill another Mace Knight (I used the Dread Talon) to reach another book. This one gives us platforms down below, which are pretty easy as long as we're fast. Drop down, jump to the right, wall climb up to the next castle column. Just be quick. After that just jump down after the lava drops to finish this section.
This next room is a bit rough. Mainly because of the two Dark Mages. Get the deposit here quickly but be ready for a mole to pop out. After that, the best way to handle this is to use the left mage's orb to shoot over to the left (do NOT kill him!), then use the right mage's shot to reach him and kill him for [Red Skull 5/10]. It's OK to get hit a bit, as long as you get the skull.

You can head to the left now for a chest and gem, then drop down. You'll land on some sand. Go kill the left lance horse and destroy the left wall here for [Red Skull 6/10]. Very nice!
Lure the other lance horse over and jump over him (don't jump on the sand). Note the two big sand blocks have red gems in them. Grab them and to the right is another platter with Dead Turkey in it. Yum. Eat it up and continue on.
We'll get a Checkpoint here! There's a deposit nearby but let the chandelier's fall down first then claim it. The first three chandeliers we want to let fall, but the ones over the pit are our platforms. Use the first one to get to the second and let that fall so you can jump to the platform beyond it. Fight the knight here (bounce off him for gems) and continue upwards. This next room is a troll room. Kill the Fire Mages on the right while avoiding the Dark Mage shots. The platter here has a bomb so no need to interact with it. Instead break the sand on the right, wait for the mace to go by, then quickly go through the bottom path and kill the Dark Mage for gems before going upwards once more.
We're up on the roof now. Note the blocks on the left up here. Run up them to get to the top, where you can time the swinging lantern here to shoot yourself to the upper right for [Red Skull 7/10].
Drop down to the left now and jump over the lance horse. There is a Pink Gem behind the banner here. Nab it and continue to the right. We've got a Griffin here. Remember they shoot out two waves of fireballs and can flap their wings to stop your progress. There is some darkness and a platter with a Rotten Apple here, so leave that for after you kill it. You can bounce off of it with slashes quite a bit, but the fireballs will likely hit you. Use that with your Dread Talon to take it out and refill your health with its drops (it dropped a Dead Turkey for me) and the platter down below. Good gems at least! Slay it and continue right.
This next screen is fantastic! Get the Checkpoint here and ignore the rat, using the lantern to continue. The next rats though... use them to propel yourself to the upper right. You want to get to the upper platform here, which you can do with two rats, avoiding the third that is likely below you (and in the wall). To the far right is a WISP URN. This one has a Willful Wisp for us, increasing your max health by one. Very nice.
Use the sand nearby to get back down. There's a Rotten Apple in the platter here. Use it if needed and head to the right to fall down and continue. We're that much stronger!
This room is a bit hard! Get the deposit here watching out for the mace, then we'll have to time our way forward carefully. Not too hard, just need good timing. You can kill them with normal attacks once you get down below. Drop down to a room with a bunch of sand over spikes and a Mace Knight. I used Dread Talon on this one but you can get in several quick hits, jumping in front of him once his mace goes by to kill him normally. Be careful to not jump though: better to take the hit and heal then fall into the spikes. Get past him and fall down once more to continue on.
As you drop into this next area, get the Checkpoint and then jump on the floor to the right. This uncovers a secret area to the left.
This area is pretty fun. There's a lot of gems above a pit, but there's a rotating lantern string moving about, so we're literally just launching ourselves upwards to get [Red Skull 8/10] and the gems. Just be sure you do not slash downwards! Head back once you got the skull. Hit the magic book right of the checkpoint to pop up a platform above. We can use the right wall here to run up it and reach the platform to continue to the right.
Next up is a gauntlet of magic book platforms. Let's take this a little bit at a time. Hit the first book to see what it does. We'll need to jump on two platforms and then run up a third. Keep hitting the book and once the lava falls, jump up the left wall and jump to the second book platform to the right. Wait for the lava, then jump to the book wall, flip up to the top, and jump to the platform up ahead. OK, so far so good.
The next book is right in front of us. Hit it to see what it does. More platforms. Keep hitting it and wait for the lava to fall, then jump to the right. The first few jumps are easy, but we have to slash through a rat after that. Wait for the lava to fall and run up the next wall, then jump to the book (ignore the skull for now). We're safe on the book and can hit it, wait for the lava, and jump to get [Red Skull 9/10] to the left, then jump back to the book. Easy!
Now we need to hit the book again (refresh those platforms!), wait for the lava, and jump to the right. Quickly jump to the small wall and flip up, then jump down to the platform and use the swinging lantern to reach the far ladder at the end. We're DONE with this area now. It was nice and challenging! Head up to continue!
The next screen is easy. Use the lanterns to get to the left and get the Checkpoint, killing the lance horse. Head to the right now to the next screen. A Griffin in here, but be sure to nab the [Red Skull 10/10] down below. Watch out for the wind and fireballs, but even if you die this is worth it!
Go kill the Griffin now, watching out for the hole nearby (it may be easier to just bounce off of it and skip it... your call).
The next room is merely a Checkpoint with some darkness orbs. Heal up if needed using the darkness and continue on to face King Knight once again!
This is a fairly fun fight against King Knight, and quite a bit different than you may remember. The biggest thing we need to talk about is the floor of this room. At certain times throughout the fight, the floor is going to shift and holes are going to appear in it. You can fall down these holes and die, but more often than not if you fall while pressing left or right you can either react quickly enough to land on solid ground or you'll wall-run up the hole and flip upwards. This may be the biggest threat in the entire fight, so be aware that it is going to happen. King Knights' 'Air Drop' move is often a catalyst for the floor to shift (where he slams into the ground).
With that out of the way, this fight isn't too hard. You can often jump at King Knight and slash into him to damage him, which will bounce you away. Do downward slices from above and you may just be bounced back up, which may just let you slash at him again. It's pretty easy to get 2 or more direct (and quick) hits this way, which is just going to drain King Knights health.

He likes to move around a lot though, so that strategy, while good, isn't going to last forever. When he moves around he will often fall into his own pits, but when that happens he'll shoot up with his 'Rat Helicopter' move. Be wary of this move, as he shoots cards out diagonally, but you can still trade damage with him and if you're aggressive you will undoubtedly out-damage him even with those cards coming out. Being super-aggressive is a good strategy overall in this fight. Just keep closing distance and damaging him with your slash attacks. Once he has about 2/3rds of his health gone, you will likely want to heal, and then keep pressing on to finish this fight.
King Knight is also capable of slashing horizontally along the room (when he's not jumping around and falling into holes) and will summon his trumpets still, only this time calling on various playing cards to attack (or rats...). Avoid all of those, read up on his moves below, and aggressively slash away at him to take him down (stopping only to heal if needed!).
After the fight, you will gain 1,000 Gold and will get a special fade-away cut-scene as you take King Knight down.
Soon we'll be back in the tower as Donovan checks his keepsake. Press any button to continue and we'll be free to explore at our leisure.
Before you go to the next stage, I recommend you do a couple of things. First, you can go talk to the Golden Knight up in the dining room area. He'll reward you with 600 Gold for being awesome in Pridemoor Keep. Note that King Knight is here now as well, so you can talk to him if you wish.
Finally, you likely have a lot of gold. I recommend spending the 3,000 Gold it takes to unlock 'Legion' in the library. Legion can upgrade your Curio's for a price. I recommend buying that Will Skull Upgrade for 4,000 gems whenever you can (I actually grinded a bit on the tower for more money... stupid tower...). Remember there are cloaks you can buy as well!
You can also now afford to buy the Throwing Sickle and the Shadow Mirror with the Red Skulls you have collected. You may as well clear the man out of Curios! We were good and collected every Red Skull after all! Check the tutorial section of the guide if you need help claiming these curios, but again, we doubt you need us for that. Let's head to the next stage now. You can choose whatever stage you want, but for guide purposes note that we are heading to the Explodatorium next. See you there!
